For the past 70 years, we have been a world leader in resin-based products, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We believe we can encourage sustainable consumption through the use of reusable plastics and by extending the life of our products. This includes ensuring that our operations, from material and design innovation to manufacturing processes, are undertaken responsibly.
We design for 100% recyclability. We use post-industrial and post-consumer waste as a source of raw material.
We invest in process efficiencies and taking steps to minimize our operational footprint. Many of our factories use solar power and are fully automated, reducing labor and electricity.
We don’t believe in single-use plastic products. Our products are designed to last a for years. We want all our products to have minimal impact on the planet.
We are respectful and work to promote diversity within Keter. We are involved in volunteer activities in the local communities.
Where we can, we source materials locally to our factories to minimize our environmental footprint and support the communities we operate in. Many of our factories use solar power and are fully automated, reducing labor and electricity. We are creating o network of co-generation energy technology solutions at selected sites to ensure we operate using cleaner and mare responsible energy sources. Our employees are our greatest resource. We are respectful and promote diversity, so everyone feels valued. We work together as One Keter to create innovative, high-quality products at the forefront of our industry. We are part of the Waste Free Oceans family and are collaborating with them in their work to clean up the ocean and raise awareness of the problem of plastics in the ocean. We guarantee that our products are produced to the highest quality standards and we follow (and often exceed) national guidelines for safety.
We design in 100% recyclability. The vast majority of our products are completely recyclable where facilities exist. Our products are flat-pocked and easily assembled which reduces shipping and environmental impact. Our packaging is recyclable and mainly comes from recycled material.
On average, alternatives to plastic are 3.5 times heavier and require 82% mare energy to produce, creating nearly 2.7 times mare CO, over the course of their life cycle. We don't believe in single-use plastics. Our products are designed to have minimal impact on the Earth to create a better world, but still meet people's expectations.
We're serious about sustainability. Our sustainability policy reflects our commitment to address the pressing issues in our industry and highlights mare of the work we are doing. We have big ambitions which are achievable if we work together with our partners, customers and consumers. It's going to take on entrepreneurial spirit and a strong innovative culture to make this happen. That's part of our Keter DNA.
