Sometimes things go wrong, and Keter is here to make them right! Whether you have opened the box and discovered a missing or broken part, or your Keter item needs parts to restore its use, we are eager to assist. The easiest way for you to reach out is via the Contact Us form. Fill out the form as thoroughly as possible and attach pictures. For parts to be shipped free-of-charge this will require proof of purchase. If you are looking to purchase parts, a picture of your item will do the trick, receipt is not necessary. In cases where the parts are not available, we will advise if there are other solutions available. We hope you won’t need parts, but if you do, we are here to help.
You’ll want to have a flat, level surface before the setup of any Keter products.
For large items, like one of our storage sheds, we highly recommend having a foundation made of concrete or wood. You’ll also want to have space around all sides of the shed (60cm/2ft) for proper assembly. This will help you get a step ladder all the way around and have the proper space for the assembly of your storage shed.
We also recommend that you assemble the shed where it will be kept permanently because of its size and weight. In addition, you are responsible for the build-out and siting of your items.

The dimensions of each shed on our website note the maximum height, width and depth of each item. Because of the overhang on the eaves of our storage sheds, the width and depth dimensions shown are therefore not identical to the footprint.
We also list the flooring dimensions of each outdoor shed in the front of the assembly instructions as well as on the website product pages. That way if you want to lay concrete on another base for the shed, you’ll have all the information you need.
In addition, if you’d like a PDF of the instruction manual, click on the “Assembly instructions” at the bottom of the product page.
One of the best things about our products is they are designed to be easy to assemble. No DIY skills required. They’re also very quick to put together. Our deck storage boxes can be put together in minutes, while almost all of our Store-It-Out storage sheds can usually be built inside an hour. Even our very largest sheds can usually be constructed in roughly half a day.
Each product has guidance and recommendations as well as the tools required in the assembly instructions. This can be found at the bottom of the product page. To give you a better idea of the tools needed for each item:
Our highly popular Store-It-Out series requires only a screwdriver, power drill, and protective gloves for quick self-assembly.
Our garden sheds similarly require only standard household tools, including a screwdriver, power drill, mallet, adjustable spanner, and a stepladder. We recommend the use of safety gloves and goggles for added protection.
Many of our deck storage boxes involve simple, click-together assembly. The remainder needs only a screwdriver and protective gloves.
Finally, our patio furniture sets come complete with a turn-key and therefore require no additional hand tools to complete the job.
Additionally, all of our products come with the necessary fixtures and fittings. So, there are no extra screws, etc. to buy.
All of this makes for a hassle-free solution that saves you time!
If you’ve misplaced your assembly instructions, you can download PDF versions on each product page on our website. Simply look at the bottom of each product description for the assembly instructions link. Then, click on the link to download a PDF of the instruction manual.
This depends on where you live. In some places, local zoning rules may require a permit, inspection, or similar requirements to install an outdoor storage shed. As such, we can’t tell you the requirements in your specific area because local rules vary.
Please be sure to check with your local building authority or regulator. Don’t forget to also check HOA rules, historic preservation restrictions, etc. You are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary approvals and ensuring your product installation and use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
We might need to see your proof of purchase, so be sure to keep that on hand. If you’re looking for the individual details of each product’s warranty, you can download it at the bottom of the product description on our website.
If you want to activate your warranty online, simply click on Contact Us and submit the activation.
Please keep in mind that activation is not required to submit a warranty claim but proof of purchase is required. Please use the Contact Us form to submit a warranty claim through our website.
Our products have been made strong and durable. Each product is made of tough, hard-wearing resin, with steel reinforcement where appropriate. This makes our outdoor furniture and storage solutions stand up to the elements, with little to no effect, without much maintenance.
Resin doesn’t require annual treatment, painting or re-felting like wood does. All you need to do is occasionally wash the products with the garden hose. It’s that easy!
Yes! Certain Keter sheds allow you to paint them. Some of our sheds have Duotech™, walls which can be painted. Storage sheds such as our Oakland and Artisan Sheds can be decorated with water-based acrylic paint for exterior use. If you choose to paint your shed, we recommend solid, light shades, satin, or a semi-gloss finish. However, please remember that paint does require maintenance. So, after some time, re-painting may be required.
